The balance between your work life and your personal life can seem complicated. However, it is something that needs to be looked at carefully.

Here are just a few tips to better find the balance between your work and personal life.

1. Disengage

When you are working – work. But once you clock off, you need to attempt to disengage. No answering emails on your phone before bed – they will be there for you in the morning. You need time to work on you and do some of the things that make you happy.

2. Exercise

Very important piece of advice, especially if most of your day revolves around sitting at a desk for 8+ hours per day. It is important that you take some time out of your day to look after your body. This doesn’t have to be an intense Conor McGregor style workout, but could be a gentle walk or maybe an activity you enjoy.

3. Don’t Be A People Pleaser

It’s easy to keep saying yes to everything. Whether it’s to your manager or colleague who wants you to take on extra responsibilities or a family member or friend who needs a hand
with something. You can’t be all things to all people, and whether it be someone at work, or a friend or family member, they will understand.

4. Create A Plan

If finding time between work life and personal life is proving more of a struggle than you would like, consider creating a plan and map out how your day will go. The blocks you
create can be as short as 15 minutes or even hours at a time, but it means you are more in control of your day.

Maybe get up 15 minutes earlier to get your day going!

So there are our simple strategies for creating a better work/life balance. Getting it right isn’t impossible and by following the correct steps you should find finding the balance a
little bit easier.
